Kips Bay Dallas 2023: Featured in Veranda

Y’all, I’m still reliving my experience shooting Dallas Kips Bay! The level of design and energy in that house is a dream scenario for a photographer. I had the pleasure pf photographing the “Tea for Two” room designed by Sara Hillery Interior Design.

Sara was a joy to work with—she's got a large following on Instagram and is obviously an incredible designer. But her down-to-earth and genuine personalty made this gig so enjoyable.

I am forever grateful she hired me—and trusted me to do so. I’m forever grateful to her assistant Danielle DiClemente who originally found me on social media and recommended me for the job. I’m forever grateful for Sara’s PR rep Austin Mill who sent my images to Veranda Magazine to be used as the official images representing Sara’s space. No one’s success is founded solely by them, and I really am humbled by Sara’s team that helped me land my first publication in Veranda.

How I Shot this Dallas Kips Bay Space

This was a tricky space to photograph because 1) there were no windows close by, so natural light was almost non existent and 2) every wall except the one featured above was an opening to another designer’s space. So compositions were a bit limited.

But with my strobe light and a focus on tighter shots, I’m super happy with what we created.
