What to Expect when Working With Dallas Interior Photographer Sarah Linden

There are two reasons you hire a specific photographer: 1) you like their work and 2) you like them as a person.

I would argue that reason number one is what snagged your attraction to the photographer, but reason number two is why you actually hired them.

Most successful photographers deliver on both accounts! They create stunning, scroll-stopping images AND they are really liked—as a person—by the people they serve. I’m a firm believer that both elements must be in place in my own business to attract the kind of clients I want to work with.

Keep reading to see what my clients are saying about me and how I structure my business to get there.

Low stress, enjoyable session days

“I actually look forward to session days…Sarah makes them enjoyable.” - Chelsi Hix, Chelsi Hix Interiors.

“I truly have fun with Sarah…there’s such an ease when we work together.” - Mandy Lane, Lane Home Design

Session days can be stressful for my designer clients.

It’s a lot to walk into a home and think about how each space will be styled for a strong photograph. Your coordinating calendars with your team, the homeowner, and the interior photographer. You’re lugging styling items. You’re making sure your client is happy during what can feel like a chaotic day. And you’re handling the pressure of getting everything just right knowing that all you’ll have left of the project are the photos.

Rest easy, friend!

I’m super serious about my work and my process, but here’s what I’m also serious about:

  • A sense of humor and lightheartedness—both are etched in my DNA. We joke and laugh throughout the day. No stuffy artists here! We make dang good images but we have a great time doing so.

  • Collabortion—you get to see all the images I take on my iPad, so you’lll feel at ease knowing we can manipulate every detail to get the photo right. And man, I get EXCITED when the images come through! And so do you! There’s nothing like seeing a space through the lens, envisioning it in magazine spread.

  • Community—I honestly can’t help but get to know the people I serve, so in between shots we may talk about our kids, work-life balance, and our favorite weeknight recipes. I swear not not ask you to bare your soul to me. Unless you want to! I’m a really good listener. ;)

High collaboration for every composition

“I love that Sarah uses an iPad to load the pictures so see the photography in real time.” - Alisa Popelka, Alisa Cristine Interiors

“Sarah took my options into consideration and made it feel like such a natural collaboration.” -Logan Easley, Timber Sky Interiors

I frequently have designs ask about my level of involvement on session days. Do I stand their and wait to snap the photo? Or do I “get my hands dirty” suggesting compositions and styling?

I help from start to finish. I will select the strongest compositions while considering your concerns and wants. This isn’t the Sarah Linden Photography show. While I will have strong opinions on what’s happening in the frame, I know at the end of the day we are photographing YOUR work. Trust me. Trust the process. But know you get a strong say as well.

As mentioned previously, you get to see all the images I take on a large iPad screen that wirelessly connects to my camera. This is the cornerstone of our collaboration, and it ensures we are getting the strongest image possible.

Portfolio images that Grow Client Base

“Having Sarah’s pictures on our website and social media has increased our visibility and potential projects tremendously.” - Lucie Hasek Brott, Creative Elements

The entire point of having images of your projects is to land more of your dream clients, right? I’m constantly learning and improving how I shoot and edit so you get clean, sleek images that make your followers say, “I want my kitchen to look like THAT.”

Interior photography is a highly technical process with many, many opportunities for things to go wrong. You should be able to know that your photographer can create attention-grabbing images no matter what they’re given with lighting and other restraints in the space.

High-Level Communication

Many creatives are good at being…well, creative. I am, too! But I’m also pretty good at the business side of my business. I make sure you understand what’s going on every step of the way. From the moment we first chat on the phone to the last email you get with a download link to your image gallery, I want you to feel well taken care of. Adequate communication is important to me. And you will recognize that as we collaborate. Even during a session, I explain my process so you feel included and aware of what I’m doing.

Trustworthy Service

“When you work with Sarah, it’s clear how much care she puts into her work and her clients.” - Alisa Popelka, Alisa Cristine Interiors

“Sarah is extremmely patient. I can trust her with any of our projects.” - Lucie Hasek Brott, Creative Elements

Y’all, I really do care about your work. And I care about you as a person as much as I care about growing business. I truly want my clients to know how much I understand what I’m really doing—not just taking pretty pictures but serving you.

I don’t rush my clients through the day. I let you take your time styling a space just right. I’ll help you make adjustments when you get stuck. I frequently ask for your input and how you’re doing as the session progresses.

And because of my experience and track record, you can trust that even if you were not in the room on session day, you’d still get amazing images that shows off your work.

If all of this sounds nice, let’s chat, ok? I want to hear about your business and have a chance to show you what it would look like for us to work together.
